Girls Soccer Gets 3-0 Win Over #7 Blanchester to Advance in OHSAA Tournament
It was a defensive battle between the Nighthawks and the Wildcats. The first goal came at the 18-minute mark when Zoe Doerger '28 booted it in from 20 yards out. With time winding down, Joise Hyden '27 found Nicole Hardesty '27 off a free kick, who cut through the Wildcats defense to score with 2:11 remaining in the first half. Defense continued to prevail for CCDS in the second half. With 3:22 remaining in the game, Audrey De Alarcon '27 sealed the deal for the Nighthawks, adding their third goal off a penalty kick. The Nighthawks' relentless defense and three goals secured them the win over Blanchester. Alyssa Easter '26 added her sixth shutout of the season and her ninth postseason shutout of her career!
CCDS will play in the District Final vs. the winner of #3Botkins and #7 Dayton Christian on Thursday, October 23 at Bethel High School.
