French strikes out 13 as Nighthawks roll past Norwood 12-2
The Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks delivered a dominant performance in a 12–2 win over Norwood, powered by a strong offensive showing and an outstanding effort on the mound.
The Nighthawks racked up 11 hits and 12 runs, with multiple players contributing throughout the lineup. Casey Newman '28 led the way with a 3-for-4 day, scoring three runs and driving in two, while Jack Dougherty '29 reached base four times and scored twice. Harry Freeman '27 and Judah Guttman '29 each added two hits and multiple RBIs, and Ryan Pavlisko '28 contributed a strong all-around performance with a hit, two RBIs, and four stolen bases. As a team, the Nighthawks showed patience at the plate with six walks and aggressiveness on the bases with seven stolen bases.
On the mound, Jaemeson French '26 was dominant, tossing a complete game while allowing just two hits and no earned runs, striking out 13. French kept Norwood off balance all game, and the Nighthawks' defense backed him up to secure the convincing victory. He currently leads the league in strikeouts with 21 in two games.
