Easters 13 Points Leads Girls Basketball to First Win of Season
The girls' varsity basketball team defeated Seven Hill 35-29 on Monday to get their first win of the season! The Nighthawks opened with a 14-5 first quarter run that started with a steal from Alyssa Easter '26 who found Roxy Vollmer '27 for a deep three. The 9-point lead at the end of the quarter was the team's biggest since the 2023 season. The Nighthawks kept their lead going into halftime, up 22-13 on the Stingers. Easter was the leading scorer at half with 7 points, followed by Vollmer with 5. Easter continued to find the rim in the second half, putting up 6 points and finishing the night with 13. Nicole Hardesty '27 was the second leading scorer of the game after putting up 7 points. The Nighthawks fought off a late fourth quarter comeback from Seven Hills to seal the deal and add a tally to the win column.
