Bio
Ray Hamilton has coached baseball for over 30 years. He became the head coach at Cincinnati Country Day in May 2025 where the Nighthawks won the Southwest District Championship. Ray began his teaching and coaching career at Ross High School in 1989. At Ross, he compiled a 197-75 record and won five league championships. Ray was named FAVC Coach of the Year in 1991, ’95, ’96, and ’98. Ray became the head baseball coach at Lakota East High School in 2000 where he had a record of 396-235. They won the Greater Miami Conference 3 times in 2005, 2010, 2011. They won the State Championship in 2011. Ray was named Greater Miami Conference Coach of the Year four times. He has been named Cincinnati Enquirer Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2011. Most notebly, Ray was selected to the OHSBCA Hall of Fame in 2020, the Butler County Hall of Fame in 2021, and the Ross High School Hall of Fame in 2023. Aside from coaching, Ray serves as a substitute teacher in the upper school.
