Sean Marohn Hired as Director of Sport Performance
Cincinnati Country Day School is proud to announce the hiring of Sean Marohn as its new director of sport performance.
Marohn brings more than 25 years of experience in strength and conditioning, athlete development, and performance leadership across youth, collegiate, and professional sports. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of athletic performance for CCDS student-athletes, including strength and conditioning and injury prevention.
Prior to joining CCDS, Marohn most recently served as the director of health and performance for the Cincy Flames baseball organization, where he led comprehensive training programs, coordinated injury management and return-to-play protocols, and provided education for coaches, athletes, and families.
Most notably, Marohn served as the director of strength and conditioning for the Cincinnati Reds from 2013 to 2020. In that role, he oversaw performance programming across the entire organization, supervised a staff of 15 coaches, and implemented advanced sports science technologies to enhance player development and monitor performance. He also spent eight years as the organization's minor league strength and conditioning coordinator, helping to build and standardize player development systems across domestic and international affiliates.
"Sean Marohn brings a level of professionalism and expertise that immediately elevates our program," says Dennis Coyle, athletic director. "His years of experience working at the highest levels of the game, including in Major League environments and with the Flames baseball organization, have given him a deep understanding of what it takes to develop athletes the right way. Just as important, he leads with purpose, discipline, and a genuine commitment to helping each athlete reach their full potential."
With Marohn on board, Country Day is excited to continue building a strong, supportive environment where the school's student-athletes can grow, compete, and perform at their best.
